Nervous System Care retreats
(Modified Panchakarma)
Whole body and nervous system nourishment derived from elements of Panchakarma Therapy. Ayurveda is translated as the ‘science of life’ and Panchakarma is a traditional Ayurvedic cleansing protocol that includes 5 modalities of detoxification. Some of these modalities are not legal to practice in the US and have been modified for safety. For example, gua sha and cupping are used in the place of bloodletting. The version of Panchakarma I offer is derived from DeAnna Batdorff of dhyana Essentials. It includes digital detox, nourishing healing foods, Ayurvedic oil treatments, shirodhara, basti’s, lymphatic bodywork, herbal baths and a lot of time to rest. Retreats can be from 3-5 days and include care from morning to evening each day, with several hours of bodywork and fresh meals.
Rates for a 3 day Panchakarma is between $2500-3000 depending on treatments selected. Contact me here to book.
Testimonial
My three-day Ayurvedic retreat with Sheyna in Chico, California was one of the most deeply restorative and integrative experiences I’ve had in my healing journey. From the moment I arrived on the land—nestled at the foot of a canyon with a stream winding by—I felt my system begin to exhale.
Sheyna held me with exquisite care and attunement, feeding me nourishing, cleansing meals morning, noon, and night. Each dish—morning broths and teas, midday kitchari, and golden milk in the evenings—was infused with herbs and flowers harvested directly from the land itself. It wasn’t just food; it was medicine prepared in devotion.
The treatments were just as powerful. Sheyna gave me bodywork that soothed my nervous system in ways I didn’t know I needed. She also offered me an extraordinary Shirodhara session, unlike anything I’d ever experienced—one that dropped me fully into a parasympathetic state while activating a sharp and gentle clarity in my third eye. I emerged surprised by how quickly and completely my nervous system shifted into stillness and presence. That moment has stayed with me.
One of the most unexpected gifts of my time with Sheyna was her treatment of a painful keloid scar I’d developed from a mole removal. I had been in both physical discomfort and emotional distress around the scar for months. Sheyna, drawing from the teachings of her lineage, worked with cups and sulfur powder for two days—and the results were nothing short of astonishing. The pain is gone, and the appearance of the scar has dramatically lightened. I was—and still am—blown away.
Above all, what I most want to share is this: Sheyna carries a rare, deft and loving touch. Her hands, her voice, her food, and her presence all work together as a true healing vessel. She helped my body integrate deeply from recent ceremonial work, in ways that were subtle, lasting, and profound.
I will return. And I recommend her with my whole heart.
